ADVENTURE FILM ACADEMY

Whether you are an (aspiring) adventure filmmaker, nature photographer or operating in the outdoors, working in wilderness environments or on remote locations often means that you have to set up a base camp and spend multiple nights on location.

We often carry heavy camera equipment and have to relinquish on comfort items. We can’t always bring a tent, a gas stove or eight litres of water. An adventure filmmaker or photographer is a skilled outdoors (wo)man. We know how to make a fire, navigate through nature, filter and purify water, identify trees and animal tracks, move silently and how to fall in with the wind and the colours of the landscape. We must take lessons from the wild before we are accepted by it.

I occasionally hold private workshops, courses and expeditions with limited participants where we practise these skills.
